As the blinding flash on the camera went off it never ocurred to me that this would be our last picture taken together. I mean I knew that my father was dying but I guess I was hoping and praying for a miracle to happen. He was of sound mind, jovial and he did not look like a dying man, if anything he looked healthy as a horse. Everyone that would come over and visit with him all agreed with me.

WHEW! I finished another pass through my YA manuscript. This last time through, I polished. The previous time through, I cut 21,000 words (from 99,000). Holy Smokes! I've learned a lot about writing and editing over the last six months, and I am thoroughly amazed at how I was able to tighten and improve something I previously considered "finished" - - yikes.
Now, to tighten and improve the query letter.
I am determined to become a published author.
