Help- Have publisher pursuing my book, need others to review

I have had my book accepted by a publisher that I had submitted my proposal to. They were the first and only one I sent to.
I am looking for other publishers to get it in front of for review and feedback.

Suggestions!

Hey Bernadette -
Welcome aboard.
What kind of book is it and who's the publisher?
I see that you're a nonfiction writer, as am I. You can email me privately (UltCheapskate@aol.com) if you prefer.

I'm curious who the publisher is too...self published route perhaps?

Why do you want to have others look at it? If this publisher wants to publish it, is this not what you are looking for?
I wish I had a publisher in the hand.

WOW! But PLEASE tell us--who is the publisher?

Shirley, the publishing world is new to me and I want to be sure I have done my homework prior to signing on the dotted line, and I don't feel I have yet.

Feel free to email me at bernadette.boas@theboasgroup.com for that. I would share it but then I have received a lot of different opinions on them, when I am just looking for other publishers I can present to.

I hope that makes sense

I hear you on that. But what is it about this publisher that keeps you from going with them? I would love to get an acceptance form a publisher.
I understand you wanting to be sure. Do you have a lawyer that can look at the contract?

That is part of the issue. I have not passed my proposal to any other publishers therefore do not have any other agreements to compare to this one. Also with the holidays and only just getting the agreement lawyers and lit agents are hard to find and nail down. The publisher also gave a deadline which concerns me, as I do not want to be forced to a deadline when it comes to a contract.

I am new at this but will be diligent in the process in order to protect my objectives for the book.
