My chapbook of experimental fiction, and some art and poetry, is just now out, published by Naissance Press. It's called Watching the Windows Sleep. Now, I'm looking for reviewers.

I've been focusing a lot of my site, http://experimentalwriting.weebly.com/, posting a lot of presses, articles, writers, magazines, and more for experimental fiction especially. if anyone wants to suggest a link, please do so. i still love this group! my website is an extension of it for you to have as a resource. I'm working away for you, so if you're interested in learning more, check it out and let me know here any ideas you have.

Since joining this group I've not participated, and feel comfortable enough now with the site to join in the reindeer games. I have a short story I'd like to share with the group, but I don't see anywhere on this group page to post one. Should I just post it on my profile page under blogs and then invite the group to check it out if interested?
Feel free to do the same with me.

I've often believed the old saying that sometimes fiction is more truthful than real life.

Yes, there's something inspiring about comradery when it comes to forging new ideas and modes in a world that seems so set on set ways of approaching reality in fiction.

I really love this "genre" and this group, because my writing couldn't fit better in, probably, any other category. It's good to know others feel the same way!

I've dreamed sometimes that I'm other genders, or other objects, even. Once, I was a stack of records on a rooftop.
I like the idea of waking up from the dream of life, through fiction, using it to accomplish that, so the story has a kind of enlightening purpose. Experimental fiction seems to work well for that, especially when it's metafiction, antifiction, etc. that doesn't continue the dreamy drama, but stretches and looks around.

I will say that I've dreamed of some of my characters, and once I dreamed that I was one of them. Just a little strange when said character isn't the same gender as you are! But very interesting nonetheless.

Ah, I was young, so it was something of a science fiction fanfiction. I don't make it a point to actually write fanfiction since it doesn't interest me. I've never heard of continuing dreams, but I certainly have some vivid ones. I have had repeats of dreams. It's always strange when you realize midway through that you're in a rerun.

i know someone who does something similar to what you did, charlotte, but in his dreams every night. he picks up where he left off, in the story of the dreamworld.
what was the theme of your daily story?
Charlotte Lenox Comment by Charlotte Lenox on November 9, 2009 at 10:45am
When I was younger, I used to have a running story in my head that I added a bit to every day, especially during long car rides. I never wrote any of it down, but a part of me does miss that exercise, and hoe effortless it was when I was younger.
